Villa Amalfitano - Amalfi

At the Villa Amalfitano you will have the great opportunity to lodge in an historical lovely residence of the Amalfi Coast, a fortress-house founded in 1200.

The villa is close to a rocky cliff that falls sheer to the sea: just opposite you will admire the marvellous blue of the sea, the green of the coast surrounded and covered by lemon pergolas and the white Amalfi Coast houses.

The sunrise is a fascinating sight at Villa: you will see the sun behind the Gulf of Salerno flooding with pink the sky and the sea. At Villa Amalfitano you will have plenty of outside spaces all available.

The villa is on three floors connected by external stairs: at the first and second floor you will find a large and painstaking garden and a magnificent swimming pool, on the third level a wide and bright terrace. The interiors have preserved the charm of the typical Amalfi Coast houses: the thick stone walls are covered up by vaults, the floor is an eighteen-century brickwork; the furnishings, refined, are rich in local antiquities.

Swimming Pool

The swimming pool is 6 meters (20 feet) large by 8 meters (26 feet) long, from 1.10 meter (3.60 feet) to 1.60 meters (5.2 feet) deep. It is an infinity pool, can be heated if requested (additional cost applies -- please enquire with our staff), has a cervical hydromassage shower and has a counter-current swimming machine.

The swimming pool area is equipped with sun umbrellas, deck chairs, sun loungers and an external shower. The pool is open from mid-April until the end of October. Middle Level (Entrance Level)

Terrace 1

The first terrace is 25 square meters (270 square feet) large. It is equipped with tables and chairs. From the terrace you will enjoy an enchanting view of the sea and of the coastline.

Patio

The patio is 30 square meters (320 square feet) large. You will be able to enter it from the living room through a corridor. It is partly shaded by an awning. It is equipped with a wickerwork sofa and two armchairs and with a table, chairs and deck chairs. Here you will also find a portable barbecue. From the patio you will enjoy a breathtaking view of the sea and of the coast of Amalfi.

Living Room 1

The first living room is paved with terracotta tiles with inlaid hand-made mayolica tiles, in the characteristic style of the Amalfi Coast. The ceiling is high and vaulted. The furnishings are elegant and bright. The furnishings include a sofa and two armchairs.

In this room you will find a satellite television. From the living room you will be able to enter a first terrace with a view of the sea through a French door. The room is equipped with an air conditioning/heating unit.

Kitchen

The ceiling of the kitchen is high and vaulted. The furnishings are elegant and refined, and include some antique pieces. It is equipped with a five-burner gas cooker, an electric oven, a refrigerator with freezer, a dishwasher, a microwave oven, an Italian-style coffee-maker, an American-style coffee-maker (bring your filters!), a toaster and other small appliances. There is an age-old and impressive fireplace made of stone.

There is a table to seat 12 guests. The kitchen has a window. The kitchen is equipped with an air conditioning/heating unit.

Bathroom 1 The first bathroom is tiled with lucid hand-made majolica tiles and equipped with a washbasin, a toilet, a Jacuzzi bathtub with fixed shower head and a hairdryer. You will be able to enter the bathroom from the corridor.

Bathroom 2 The second bathroom is equipped with a washbasin, a toilet, a hydro massage shower and a hairdryer. You will be able to enter the bathroom from the corridor. Top Level

The second terrace is 70 square meters (750 square feet) large. It is equipped with a table, chairs and sun loungers. From the terrace you will have a fascinating view of the sea.
