Villa Romantica dei Mori Ravello

Ravello villa Romantica dei Mori is an renovated ancient Villa, of about 400 sqm, built in the 19th century straight up the sea of the Amalfi Coast, in Castiglione di Ravello. Its amazing terraced gardens slope down towards the ocean.

The Villa has just been renovated, maintaining the architectural features of the building intact. It has been transformed into a tourists accommodation with all comforts, preserving the special character of historical homes with rich antique and elegant furnishings and majolica tiled floors. Its four stories are connected by an ancient stairway with artistic inlaid wood handrails and arched windows overlooking the beautiful sea.

Accommodation

The Villa’s main entrance is conveniently located along the Amalfi Coastal Road SS 163, accessible with no steps. From the parking area there is direct access to the Villa through the secondary entrance. The parking has room for 2 small size cars or one minivan.

In the villa sleeps up to 16 people in 8 bedrooms on four floors.

It has separate Dependence bookable extra(payable extra) in case you need 9th double bedrooms for a than total 18 guests to stay. 

It has recently been renovated,maintaining the architectural features of the building intact. It can be available in exclusive use only for weekly stay from Saturday to Saturday. The four stories of the Villa are connected by a beautiful old staircase with inlaid wooden handrails from which stunning views can be glimpsed through arched windows. With about 400 square meters the Villa is quite easy to navigate with a few steps between each floor. The ground floor has two entrances, both accessible straight off the coastal road.

Entering through the main entrance you find a lobby and a living room with open fireplace, two large comfortable sofas (convertible on request in two extra single beds with a 10% extra), a 40' flat screen satellite TV and a beautiful old library. A small changing room with toilet and sink is next to the living room. Finally on the same level there is the first panoramic bedroom with its en suite bathroom. On the lower floor there is a dining room furnished with a beautiful antique table, which can be extended to accommodate more Guests if needed, a sofa and a 40' flat screen satellite TV and a wine cellar, only a few steps below, cut into the rock, where wine is available a la carte. In communication with the dining room there is the main kitchen. Both rooms have access to a covered patio (about 50 square meters) with breathtaking views of the sea. From the dining room through a design staircase made of iron and wood, you go up to a romantic double bedroom with its own large en suite bathroom. The bathroom boasts a shell shaped shower and a capacious wardrobe cabin. On this floor and on the two adjoining terraces internet WI FI connection is widely available

The fully equipped kitchen provides an intercom system, 22’ flat TV, a central 7 range stove top with a large gas oven and a smaller electric one, big fridge, freezer, espresso machine, microwave, dish washer, a water dispenser with both sparkling and still water, and a laundry area with washing machine and dryer.

On this same level you have access to another larger panoramic dining terrace (about 130 square meters) completely covered with a pergola which supports centenary bougainvillea plants. It boosts tables, comfortable sofas, pizza oven and barbecue. T he ideal area to have al fresco breakfast, lunch and romantic candle lights dinner with a breath taking views of the sea and the coast. This covered Loggia is also the magic place for holding Guests special E vents during their weekly stay at the Villa.

All eight bedrooms, six of them located on the two upper floors, three in each floor, have either balconies or large oval windows with stunning views overlooking the sea. Two of them one on each floor, on request, can be converted to twin beds and are located beside the two master bedrooms. They are decorated with objects d'art, valuable paintings and elegant pieces of furniture. All have small comfortable sitting areas and original terracotta floors, antique parquet and old handmade ceramics. Each room has its own en suite bathroom fitted with glass mosaics, hair dryer, courtesy kit, large comfortable and relaxing hydro showers and, two of them on the upper floor also with Jacuzzi.

During the recent renovation all the rooms have been equipped with the most technologically

advanced comforts : sound proof doors, heating, independently controllable air conditioning, 22’ flat screen satellite TV, internet ETH connection, mini bar, safe, a dresser built in a closet space, luxurious linens and orthopedic comfortable mattresses and pillows by Simmons.

With regards to the catering of special events we provide our own professional catering staff. We can cater for up to 40 guests seated under the covered panoramic loggia.

In addition to wedding receptions, private wedding symbolic ceremonies can be performed at the Villa. They can be arranged in the Villa. Civil ceremonies can be held in the Town Hall of Atrani, Amalfi and Ravello (800 meters, 1, 5 km and 5 km far the Villa respectively). Catholic wedding services can be performed in the nearby beautiful Church Collegiata Santa Maria Maddalena in Atrani.

The property has a private garden of 1 private garden of 1000 sqm with its own access to the sea by a stairway. The first stop is equipped loggia only 130 stone steps divide you from the beach area. In the middle of the large lawn through a tunnel and a few further steps you reach you rich a waterfront covered dining terrace, in the shape of a clover where guests can enjoy stunning al fresco meals and snacks. This is the place where you can hear the breath of the ocean. From this level a gate and a few steps separate you from our two sea platforms equipped with sun beds. On their contours the sea draws a natural cozy bay that resembles the most desirable of the pools. From the lower platform a ladder overhangs in water. Just a hundred meters on the right side a small pebble beach is reachable by swimming or by our tiny boat at your disposal. Before going there turn back and watch at the whole property to the TOP! It is impressive to say the least!

The rooftop decking equipped terrace is the first place of the house from where you can really appreciate the wholeness of the villa and measure its boarders. It is furnished with its own small fully equipped kitchen and barbecue. From here you can enjoy. From here you can enjoy a superb view of the whole Amalfi Coast.

The equipped panoramic roof garden on the top and the covered bougainvillea on the top loggia on the on the bottom, of respectively about 100 and 130 sqm, are the most beautiful and suitable settings for the guest’s special and unforgettable events..
