Spacious holiday home on a large plot of land with private swimming pool and superb view, in the village of Quarante in Languedoc-Roussillon. From this very quiet villa, you can admire the village, the vineyards and, in the distance, the mountains. In front of the house is the owner's olive grove with about a hundred olive trees! From the entrance, you will be seduced by the volume of the living room, which is composed of an open kitchen, equipped with a counter, a dining room and a comfortable lounge area with television. From this fully equipped room, you have access to a superb and large wooden terrace, elevated and partly covered, overlooking the semi-underground swimming pool which includes a shallow area perfect for the youngest. From the living room, you reach a mezzanine with a table football and various games. Forty is named after the river that flows through the village. It is a lively village near the Canal du Midi. It has a 10th century abbey and a fantastic belvedere. You will find the necessary shops, two cafés with terrace, a bakery and three restaurants. At the end of the village, the cooperative cellar offers you a wine tasting and a direct sale. In summer, there are regular festivals organized by the villagers, with music. Cruzy is a neighbouring village that offers a nice farmers' market every Friday. Like many exceptional hamlets and villages, Forty is part of this sumptuous region of Occitania bordered by the Mediterranean, which extends from the Canal du Midi to the banks of the Orb. All welcome you to the heart of the vineyards of the Saint-Chinian, Minervois and Languedoc appellations, just a few kilometres away. Rendez-vous every 3rd Sunday in July (with a few exceptions) for the Grande Fête du Cru in St Chinian, with around sixty stands that will offer tastings of wines and local products. For your walks, opt for ecological discoveries and preferably enjoy on foot, bicycle or horseback, landscapes preserved and enamelled with beautiful buildings such as capitals, dry stone walls, mills, chapels. The car can be parked on the property, or in the large garage where there is room for several cars.
