Positive: The apartment in Le Boulou was immaculate! We really enjoyed our stay. The weather was very hot and we really appreciated having an apartment with excellent air conditioning. We only stayed for one night, so we didn't use the kitchen much, but it was equipped with everything one would need to cook a meal. The washing machine was nice and we used the drying rack to dry our clothes on the balcony off of the back bedroom. The view from the balcony was beutiful with view of the foothills/mountains in the distance. There is a wonderful bakery in town for fresh croissants and baguettes and a small grocery store within walking distance. We ate dinner a block away at Brasserie Le Rallye. Very good service and food.

Negative: This was no fault of the host, just us being dumb. Upon arrival, it wasn't clear to us which floor the apartment was on. We are from the United States, so the numbering system for the floors starts with 1, whereas in Europe, the ground floor is 0 and the 2nd floor is 1, etc. So this apartment is on highest level, (in the United States, what would be the 3rd floor) My husband was confused and wanted to try key on the 1st floor apartments, but I told him to try the 2nd floor apartment because I remembered that it's different in Europe. Also, the bathroom lighting is a little dark and the bathroom is not updated, but it was so clean, we were only slightly bothered.

Summary: Wonderful 2 bedroom apartment w/ awesome A/C and nice little downtown with bakery and brasserie.
