Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: It was very comfortable and easy to get to from the train stations – we walked the first night and took the metro the rest of the time which was very convenient. The bed was nice and the apartment had all the amenities we needed including towels, a hair dryer, shampoo, shower gel, etc. and even cooking oil. It got nice natural light through the window in the mornings and the radiator worked well to heat the place up in the evenings when it got a bit chilly.

Negative: The stairs leading up to the flat were quite wet and dirty, although im sure that’s not the responsibility of the host. The shower went cold after about 5-10 minutes and didn’t heat up again until a few hours later. We also struggled to figure out how to use the coffee maker but that was certainly user error and we appreciated having the machine there as an option. No major issues, and everything else was lovely.

Summary: A lovely resting place in Lille :)
