Positive: We booked a one-night stay at La Clef des Champs en route to Cherbourg. The stay and accommodation exceeded our expectations. Communication with the host, prior to arrival, was friendly, prompt and professional. We were warmly welcomed on arrival and the host took time to show us to our room, the shared communal room (with tea, coffee, water, biscuits etc. available) and the shared kitchen area, which had everything needed to prepare a basic meal and with access to a fridge. The property is located in beautiful gardens with lovely views across the valley. Our bedroom and separate private bathroom were spotlessly clean and very tastefully decorated. The whole building had been renovated to a very high standard and there were many very nice touches in terms of furnishings and decorations. High quality toiletries were available in the bathroom. The breakfast was excellent with all items freshly prepared: pastries, home-made apple tart, jams etc. The host literally went out of her way to source the fresh croissants and pastries as there were no bakeries open locally on the day we stayed. We would unreservedly recommend La Clef des Champs to others and would happily return ourselves, for a longer stay.
