The centerpiece is the light-flooded living and dining room. With its large windows, the typical rustic floor tiles, the fireplace and the tasteful furniture, it exudes a cozy cosiness. The pictures, books, CDs and the two wooden windows to the neighboring kitchen also add to the flair of the room. The kitchen itself offers everything you could want in a small space. Villa Olival is a stylish holiday home on the eastern slope of 'São Miguel', the highest mountain in the Eastern Algarve with approx. 400 m. From the terrace and pool you have a wonderful view over the evergreen hilly landscape. To the south glitters through the trees of the Atlantic, which can be reached at Fuseta within 15 minutes by car. The delightful, approx. 7000 m² private property was once an olive grove (olival). A particularly old specimen is still right next to the terrace, which is also lined with a stylish garden. In addition to rosemary, sage and oleander, exotic plants such as strelitzia and aloe vera also grow there. A grill with a view as well as tables, chairs and sun loungers invite you to linger on the partially covered terrace. Past the gnarled olive tree, a few steps lead down to the in-house salt water pool, which is very skin-friendly thanks to salt water and enables hours of bathing without red eyes. A small house provides shade and wind protection, a stylish outdoor shower complements the pool area. Behind the house there is another terrace with a sun shelf towards the mountain, so that you can always find a suitable place depending on the wind direction, position of the sun and personal preferences. Sun beds, chairs, tables and umbrellas are available in large numbers around the house.
The immediate area around the house is ideal for walks and short hikes. The nearest shops can be found in Moncarapacho, 2.5 km away. In addition to a market hall, there are also small supermarkets, cafes and restaurants as well as a newspaper kiosk, post office and bank. Larger cities in the wider area are Olhão on the coast and São Brás de Alportel in the hinterland.
