Positive: From the time we arrived until we left, the staff were warm, welcoming and helpful. For English speakers, having a bit of Spanish is definitely helpful but not necessary, and the check in staff are practically fluent in English. The pool was very clean and nice with amazing views of the bay, beach & sunsets. There is a shower next to the pool to rinse off before and after swimming/wading (not a full depth pool, very kid friendly). There is a swim-up bar but it wasn't open when we were there (early Dec, not yet high season). Our room had a full panoramic view of the bay and beach as well, with the hills sweeping dramatically up away from the ocean. You can hear howler monkeys in the distance, and we had a plethora of birds visit including many hummingbirds. The grounds of the hotel are planted with many flowering bushes which attract them and are just darn beautiful. Our room was clean and lovely, with a king bed and double for our family of 4. The bathroom & shower are large and well supplied with towels and soap. Our stay included breakfast which was a well appointed buffet style with options of traditional CR breakfast options along with pancakes, yogurt and granola, and more. Very happy with everything.

Negative: We could have stayed longer!

Summary: We wish we could have stayed for a week! Beautiful property with fantastic people working there.
