Summary: Travelling from Australia we spent a week with friends at the Lake House property in the village of Augy. It was ideally situated, an easy train ride from Paris and only 4kms from the Medieval city of Auxerres. The accommodation was ideal for two couples. The setting was amazing with its own lake where we could canoe ,paddle board, fish and end each day sitting on the deck overlooking the lake with a glass of local Chablis. We loved the animals both wild and domestic which visited us each day. Our hosts Anne-Sophie and Eric were excellent. They were attentive and friendly, going out of their way to ensure that our holiday in France was everything we could wish for. They offered us information on local restaurants, things to see and even arranged a personal introduction to a local winemaker who came from Australia. If you are looking for a real French experience we would highly recommend the lake house. Chris, Robin, Monita and Roger (Australia)
