Casa do Pescador is a renovated fisherman's house (small beach bungalow studio apartment) for 1-3 people (a double bed and convertible sofa for one). The house is situated just 2-minutes walk outside the center of the quaint pueblo of Carrapateira, surrounded by the Southwest Alentejo and Vicentine Coast Natural Park, and is a short distance from some of the most beautiful beaches of Portugal. Though convenient to town, the terrace, with a table for eating and lounges, offers privacy and a view overlooking the Bordeira Valley and beach. On the main floor, there is a room with a small kitchen and eating area, bathroom with shower, and a separate sitting area. On the upstairs loft, there is a double bedroom.
Casa do Pescador and the beautiful surrounding natural area allow you to disconnect from your daily routine and reconnect with nature and yourself. When you need to "reconnect," WIFI is available at the social club in the Carrapateira plaza and the many bars and terraces in town. If the weather keeps you housebound, there is a video screen and a large selection of DVDs and books. If it gets a bit cold, windy, or rainy, I recommend a trip to the Algarve southern coast where the weather is often mild and sunny. The area offers an immense variety of natural and cultural places to visit and enjoy. I can provide you with a brochure detailing the area, places to visit, hikes along the famous Ruta Vicentina, and other activities in the area. Casa do Pescador is the perfect base camp to explore the spectacular Alentejo and Algarve Coast and the Southwest Alentejo and Vicentine Coast Natural Park.
