Positive: The villa is in a lovely location, set in a very small town, ten minutes drive up the hillside from Isle Rousse. The villa has fabulous views, on the one side to the lake and on the other down to the sea. The kitchen is well stocked and we were also greeted with a couple of bottles of wine on arrival, which was very gratefully received! All the rooms are well equipped and come with en suite bathrooms, plus the main bedroom has patio doors opening onto the pool area. There is also a mid-week clean and sheet/towel change offered at no additional cost. The small town has most things you need from a small local boulangerie, a boucherie, an epicerie plus three restaurants. It is very picturesque, with some lovely cobbled streets and a church. It feels a little like you have stepped back in time. The small town is also close enough to Isle Rousse and the beach, so you can easily pop down in the car. Ile Rousse has some great shops and busy restaurants if you are looking for more of a town buzz. The main town beach is also worth a visit, with white sand and a particularly nice cocktail bar set on the sand.

Negative: Only the weather, as it unfortunately rained on the last day! Other than that, my only criticism would be that it would be useful if instructions had been provided for the oven, the BBQ and the air con, as it took a lot of fiddling around to sort work out how they all worked.
