5 Bedroom House in Nerac, Nérac

Just 1h15 from Toulouse and Bordeaux, come and discover this 13th-century bourgeois house with its unique atmosphere, set in 1ha of wooded grounds on the banks of the River Baïse. Spacious, rustic and deliciously vintage thanks to its stylish decor, it was chosen for Cedric Kahn's film Fête de famille starring Catherine Deneuve. This family home, which also belonged to Raymond Barre's family, is the perfect base from which to discover the wonders of Gascony with family and friends.
An astonishing 10m diameter round swimming pool with wooden decking and table tennis table will delight young and old alike. The large garden is fully fenced for added security, with no nuisance or neighbours.
On the ground floor, the kitchen with its large fireplace and ceramic worktop has a large country-style table and opens onto the adjoining dining room, which has a hunting lodge feel and a large, solid wooden table with chairs. A separate lounge with sofas, grand piano and TV is available and opens onto the garden. There is a wc on the ground floor under the majestic freestanding stone staircase leading to the 1st floor. This floor houses the 5 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. There is a toilet in the family bathroom, as well as another toilet (certainly one of the most astonishing toilets you will ever see ....) in the hallway.
The house is located in a small hamlet in the countryside, 5 minutes from the royal town of Nérac, birthplace of King Henri IV. It is not overlooked and is situated on the banks of the river Baïse, where you can walk and fish if you wish (fishing licence required, fishing tackle not supplied). The hundred-year-old trees bordering the house will provide the shade you need for your outdoor meals. Garden furniture with tables and chairs is available, as well as a few sun loungers by the swimming pool (10 m in diameter, depth 1.2 m to 2 m), which is open from June to September and has a protective barrier in summer. You can also park your car safely in the enclosed car park.
Bed linen and towels are provided for each occupant. Final cleaning is included.
