The Manoir is an exceptional, majestic, six bedroom, five bathroom, wonderfully romantic, 19th Century Villa with a large private heated pool and extensive gardens set on a private and gated country Estate with spectacular views across the Eastern Algarve. Framed with vines and hibiscus and surrounded by olive groves, orchards and lawned gardens, the Manoir has been lovingly restored to retain many original features (including original shutters, oak doors and terracotta floors), whilst offering every modern convenience to our guests (good wifi, smart T.V.s and super modern bathrooms).
Entering into the impressive hall with high ceilings, you will step into the enormous farmhouse kitchen with its original inglenook fireplace. The large table is the hub of the house and leads onto a pretty covered patio which is perfect for breakfast. The range cooker (with 6 hobs), full size American fridge and tons of herbs, spices and oils, makes cooking a joy. The dining room with a huge antique table has comfortable seating for all of you. The table will be laid ready for your arrival. The living room, with enormous fire place, is filled with lovingly collected furniture and furnishings. There will be a fabulous welcome pack of local produce and you can order an organic veggie box.
Downstairs are 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms with a further 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms (plus snug on the mezzanine) upstairs. We provide lovely, organic toiletries – if you love them then you can purchase via our honesty box.
The outside space is breathtaking but, the star of the show has to be the large, private, heated pool with plenty of sunloungers and a built in BBQ beside the shaded pergola. There is an additional gas BBQ near the kitchen. Our two friendly miniature goats love meeting new guests!
At a very reasonable additional charge, we are offering yoga and tai chi classes (or you could even hold your own yoga retreat using our new shala) , shiatsu massage, art classes and a local chef is very happy to cook for you.
