Charming detached villa with pool, garden and sea views in the Western Algarve. A large airy sitting room with log fires for the winter and air-conditioning for the summer. This room has patio doors leading to the outside terrace. The dining room with seating for eight people also has patio doors leading to the outside terrace and swimming pool. Beautiful landscaped gardens with swimming pool (heated optional), an outside traditional Portuguese barbecue and sun loungers for pool side relaxing. There are three outside dining areas all with quality furniture seating eight people and all are covered by shade sails to keep out the harmful rays of the sun whilst still allowing you to tan below them. There are a number of wonderful restaurants within easy reach of the villa. For those wishing to travel to the nearby town of Lagos a large number of restaurants serving international cuisine as well as traditional good value Portuguese food can be found.

Summary: We all loved the villa, inside and out. The garden is well established and a lovely place to sit in. There are several areas to sit, relax or eat. The whole family enjoyed the pool. My 5 year old granddaughter learnt to swim in it- great size for children. It is also well maintained once a week. The property is well equipped in the kitchen and bedrooms. The owner is very approachable and employs an agent to oversee the property. I believe a car is pretty essential as the beach and shops are a little distance away. We were all very happy with our stay in Villa Julia and wouldn’t hesitate to return.
