Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: Large, spacious apartment with spacious rooms. Bathroom has a tub and a hot shower. Very clean. Washing machine, laundry detergent, utensil cleaning liquid, sponges, plates, glasses and clothes pegs in the apartment - very well stocked! A lovely view. Host is fluent in English and Italian was very helpful - ordered us a pizza on a day the restaurant nearby was closed and replied promptly to any messages. Property has a lift. The fernicular (a public lift) is also just outside so visitors have two ways of getting down the steep hill - bus or fernicular.

Negative: Location is far away from main Genoa city but there is a direct, frequent bus to Genoa Brignole. Journey takes around 20-25 mins and the bus can get crowded. The location is also very hilly - I would not recommend for people with mobility issues or wheelchair users.
