Summary: The house has so much potential but more attention to detail would have scored this villa better. The location is pretty average, not walkable to anywhere and the neighbours clearly don’t like us “the guests”. The views from the bedrooms are nice and the villa is reasonably quiet other than people and children noise (neighbours). The villa felt safe and secure. The villa was full of children’s toys in the lounge which made me feel like I had walked into a playgroup, it therefore lacked the welcoming, homely feel and the sofas had throws over which looked scruffy. The photos on Vrbo did not represent the villa and we were disappointed. We did however put all the toys away in a spare room, moved some furniture added some flowers and cushions and it had much more appeal. The space was rustic and generous, the kitchen was well appointed although lots mismatched items (I didn’t mind this). Plenty of bathrooms and good size bedrooms. We did have to search for blankets/douvets but they were all there. It would have been nice if everything could be found in each bedroom. There is no air conditioning in 2 of the bedrooms which would be needed in summer. The owner did replace a fan that was broken and this did help. The house was musty and needed airing but there were no fly screens and the mosquitos were abundant. The airconditioning worked well on the top floor. There was plenty of seating both inside and out for larger groups and the garden was a nice place to eat.
