Positive: Monteverde is a special place, and the Villa Lodge is equally special. The staff make you feel right at home and part of the family. The rooms are very private and spacious, which gives welcome relief after many tighter accommodations. Their assistance with organising tours and transport was very efficient.

Negative: It is ever so slightly distant from Monteverde itself, but Santa Elena is close and the walk in the cool and fresh mountain air was part of the fun. As for getting to Monteverde, the staff is very helpful with solutions.

Summary: Hearty, refreshing mountain stay.
